Privacy, with the details included.

Inovent.Ai LLC operates Paws & Prose and this website. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit the website, use our iOS or Android app, or contact us. Questions or requests can be sent to support@inovent.ai.

The apps are coming soon. This policy describes their current functionality; we will update it if our practices change. The summary below covers both platforms and includes third-party advertising, not just information we store ourselves.

What you provide and how we use it

We use your email and account identifiers to authenticate you, maintain your account, and protect the service. If you choose a third-party sign-in option, that provider supplies the identity information authorized in the sign-in flow. Passwords, when used, are handled by our authentication service.

We store books you add to your library, reading metadata and notes, club memberships, messages, ratings, RSVPs, invitations, and the club or meetup text you submit. Optional content can include a display name, avatar URL, uploaded cover image, or a meetup location you type. We use this information to provide the features you choose, synchronize them across devices, and enforce permissions.

Purchase verification records establish your Remove Ads entitlement. Notification preferences and push tokens let us send the notifications you enable. When you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you include, and use them to respond and investigate your request.

Who can see your content

  • Personal library: your library and personal notes are restricted to your account through the app’s access controls.
  • Clubs: club content is available to authorized participants. Public directory listings show a club’s name, description, avatar, and member count, not its conversations, meetups, ratings, or member identities.
  • Ratings: submitted meetup ratings remain private from other participants until the meetup begins; they are then revealed to authorized participants.
  • Book covers: uploaded covers are publicly retrievable, and storage object names may be discoverable. Do not upload sensitive or private images. A private library does not make a cover image private.
  • Invites: the web invite page does not fetch club or participant information. The app checks the invite when you redeem it. Treat an invite link like something intended for its recipient.

Access controls do not prevent another participant from copying content they can see. Messages are not represented as end-to-end encrypted.

Service providers and advertising

We use Supabase for app authentication, database, storage, and related backend services; Apple and Google for platform sign-in where offered, notifications, and in-app purchases; and Microsoft Azure for website hosting. Book lookup and cover loading can involve Open Library and Google Books. These providers receive the information needed to handle the relevant request, such as an ISBN or a network address when an image is loaded.

Our apps use Google AdMob for advertising. Its SDK can process device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad activity, interactions, and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, and security. See Google’s iOS data disclosures, Android data disclosures, and privacy policy.

On iOS, tracking through the advertising identifier requires App Tracking Transparency permission. Other ad consent choices depend on your region and platform. Declining personalization does not necessarily stop ads or all SDK processing. You can manage iOS tracking permission or Android advertising identifiers in device settings and use consent choices presented in the app. Remove Ads removes ad placements; it does not delete your account or stop data processing needed for app features.

We do not provide your library notes or chat text to AdMob for ad targeting. Advertising-related disclosure of identifiers may be treated as “sharing” or a “sale” under some privacy laws. Contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or in a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections.

Your device permissions

  • Camera: used when you choose to scan a book barcode. The scan supplies an ISBN for lookup; we do not upload a camera feed.
  • Photos: images you select as book covers may be uploaded. We do not upload your entire photo library.
  • Calendar: optional calendar access lets the app create and update meetup events on your device. We do not upload your calendar contents to our backend; your calendar provider may synchronize events under its own settings.
  • Notifications: optional push access lets us deliver relevant updates. You can change permissions through your device settings.

Revoking a permission can limit its associated feature without closing your account.

This website

This marketing website does not add analytics trackers, advertising scripts, tracking cookies, or sign-up forms. Its fonts and artwork are hosted locally. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information, including IP address, requested URL, and browser information, to deliver and secure the site.

The invite page processes an invite code in your browser to open the app or copy the code when you ask. It does not call the app’s backend or display invite metadata. The hosting service still receives the URL you request. External links and email open services with their own privacy practices.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Want to close your account or remove specific information? Visit Delete my data for step-by-step instructions. You do not need the app installed.

We retain information as needed to provide your account and features, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose. Removing a chat message from view does not necessarily immediately erase its underlying record. Backup copies and records required for legal or security purposes may remain after a deletion request.

To request access, correction, deletion of your account or data, or an applicable privacy opt-out, email support@inovent.ai with the subject “Paws & Prose privacy request.” Identify the account email and your request. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, or an identity document unless specifically needed through an appropriate verification process. We may verify account ownership before acting.

Account deletion removes account-linked library information, messages, ratings, and entitlements through our deletion process. Shared club and meetup records may remain for other participants, with management reassigned where appropriate. A deletion request does not automatically request a store refund. We will explain any information we must retain and respond within time limits that apply to your request.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your data; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; or appeal our response. Contact the same address for an appeal. You may also contact your local privacy authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.

Security and international processing

We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect information in transit and restrict access. No system is completely secure. Keep your sign-in details private and let us know about suspected unauthorized access.

The Service is operated by Inovent.Ai LLC. Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries, whose privacy laws may differ from yours. The governing law specified in our Terms of Service is that of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, subject to mandatory protections where you live. Where required, applicable transfer safeguards govern those transfers. We process information to provide the service, pursue legitimate interests such as security, comply with law, or with consent where required.

Children and changes to this policy

Paws & Prose is for people aged 13 and older, or the higher minimum age required where they live. Users under the age of legal majority must have parent or guardian permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided it, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice of material changes when required. For privacy or support, contact support@inovent.ai.
